10 Years After -

This is the Catherine Murat House.
This is smaller than our home.

We are in our 1816 Seminole Drive home for over 10 years. We started building it in August of 2013. It took our builder Gary Shiver 100 work days to finish the home - including tearing the brick home down that was on the lot. I visited Gary yesterday - he was building a 9000 square foot home north of town. He does them one at a time.

We based the home on the Catherine Murat House at the Tallahassee Museum. Catherine was one of the founding mothers of the community. Her home has been moved and restored in the museum. It is a classic Florida Plantation.

Our home is 60 feet by 60 feet - 3600 square feet under roof. It also has a 1200 square feet of finished upstairs.
